a non-profit co-op and community space

We are launching a new non-profit co-op and community space for the neighborhood of Franklinton. The Avondale Place, formally the Avondale United Methodist Church, is a beautiful, old building in the heart of Franklinton. It's across the street from Avondale Elementary school and within sight of Mount Carmel. With almost 12,000 square feet, the Avondale Place has room to grow. While we are currently looking for strategic partners and hope to use the space immediately, we are also putting together a long-term plan for renovating the building. You can get a small taste of that vision below.

Our vision

We believe in the abundant economy of God. As such, where others see needs, we see opportunities. Where others see a lack of jobs, we see a ready workforce. Where others see addiction and drugs, we see people ready to recover. As we've talked with the community, here are four areas where we see opportunities. If you know of an organization looking for space that works in one of these areas, please let us know.

Four Target Areas:

  • Workforce Development

  • Drug and Alcohol Recovery

  • Infant Mortality

  • Affordable Housing

While the plans are very much still being developed, here's a glimpse into the kind of renovation we hope to see happen in the space.
