The thing you're most looking forward to over the summer:

Growing in my ability to lead, disciple, and pushing myself out of my comfort zone.

Nick Conner

During my time at Ohio University, I’ve had the chance to get involved in Central Avenue Church in Athens, OH. Central has recently started to launch a new church in Columbus Ohio. Columbus is one of the fastest growing communities in our state and in the nation, and is a perfect place to reach new people for Jesus. This new church will be in the Grandview Heights area, close enough to the Ohio State University campus to reach college students, but also easily accessible to the wider community. Connecting with college students will be key to our ministry in Columbus. This will allow Central to mirror its vision of college ministry in a multi-generational context with what is already being done in Athens.

This summer, I will have the opportunity to take part in a summer internship with Central City Church. They will be launching the church in the fall, and during the summer I will get the chance to do several things to help launch this new church. A summer spent in an internship like this will be invaluable. This is an experience that will help me in developing spiritual leadership and ministry skills to equip me and others for campus outreach and ministry after college.

You can learn more about the church by navigating the links above, or by checking out this video:

To make all this possible, I need to develop a team of ministry partners—a group of people like you who would give to make my ministry possible. As you might imagine, raising the necessary funds will be one of my greatest steps of faith in preparation for this summer. I need a total of $4,000 by May 31 to cover my summer stipend and ministry expenses.
